THE FINAL

JUST JEANS OF HONLEY HIGH SCHOOL WERE NAMED

"LunchNet 4 Schools Young Entrepreneurs 2006"

At The University Of Huddersfield on Tuesday 14th November

The final saw six teams battle it out for the title of "LunchNet 4 Schools Young Entrepreneurs 2006". All the teams presented a very high standard of powerpoint presentation together with other visual aids and very enthusiastic team members. However JUST JEANS of HONLEY HIGH SCHOOL presented to a very high standard and included a particulary good concept, market research, financial projections and S.W.O.T analysis which gave them the edge and won them the trophy. The team was also presented with WH Smith vouchers, business and management books from the Chartered Institute of Professional Development, certificates and will be interviewed by Home FM Radio week commencing 20th November 2006. So listen out for them!

The team in 2nd place was Snackster from Batley Business and Enterprise College who showed alot of knowledge of the Fair Trade concept and produced a colourful and interesting presentation. They received vouchers and certificates.

The team in 3rd place was B E K Shoes who had developed and produced an adaptable shoe which could be transformed from high to low heals. This team was also from Honley High School and they too received vouchers and certificates.

All six presentations were fantastic and we would like to thank all three schools involved, Honley High School, Salendine Nook High School and Batley Business and Enterprise College. A special thanks to the teachers involved and the parents for their support.

We would like to encourage the teams who did not get placed to see this as a challenge as we will be recruiting for the 2007 programme in the new year!
